Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship is a 3 year on the job training program which is tailor made for young people coming from high school who may not want/need to go to University and for people who are already qualified from a University or College , want to launch their career in Germany (someone with a degree/diploma). Companies await these people and automatically give them jobs in collaboration with colleges and technical institutions in Germany . Each company has a list of colleges that it collaborates with for apprenticeship (Ausbildung). There is no age limit for the Apprenticeship program.

Work and school will share 70% and 30% respectively of the time of the student.

There is no need for a blocked account in a German bank because people doing the Ausbildung get a decent amount of allowance ( between €900 to €1200 per month) which they can pay for their accommodation, health insurance and other living costs. Accommodation is provided in some instances, but this needs to be verified with individual companies.

The language requirements for Apprenticeship is atleast B1 level of the German language. This means you first do levels A1 ,A2 then B1.

In Germany, there are roughly 350 recognized trades (Ausbildungsberufe) where an apprenticeship can be completed.
