RUTENDO JOYLYN MUNYONGA!!

She was one of our #DieDeutscheSchuleAlumni who left Harare, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 to begin an apprenticeship at Seniorenzentrum am Stadtgarten in Kornwestheim, a town in the district of Ludwigsburg, Germany 🇩🇪. She was the 5️⃣th of the 1️⃣4️⃣ of our students who left on the 🗓️ 31st of July.

Rutendo is very quiet and shy, but a beast when it comes to work. You have seen her countless times, when we featured her after smashing academic records for fun. She did all her German language courses with us from A1 to B2 and as if everything was easy, she passed with extremely high scores in the international Goethe Zertifikat examinations. Whenever she went for the exam, we all knew what was coming because we knew how focused she was, a report we still get from her lecturers in Germany even now. Students like Rutendo are easy to motivate because they are naturally fired up for success and are sure of the path that they are following.

She began a dual vocational training, which is a combination of practical training in companies ( in this case with our partners AWO Württemberg) and theoretical training at a vocational school. Because of this combination of theory and practice, this type of vocational training is considered a specific feature of the German education system and finds international recognition. For one to qualify for such an apprenticeship through the partnership we have with AWO Württemberg, one needs 5 Ordinary level passes (Zimsec or Cambridge) and B2 level of the German language. Our partners will cover the cost of recognition of certificates, travel cost (air tickets to Germany), accommodation in Germany and a healthy monthly trainee allowance for the 3 years of study until one attains a diploma.

We joined her parents 𝐌𝐫 and Mrs Munyonga, family and friends as they bade her farewell. It was an emotional time of thanking our #KingLordJesus for the myriad of opportunities that He continues to open for our students in the Federal republic of Germany. Everyone at DDSH wishes our dear Rutendo the very best of success, good health and happiness in her new home and we are #NeverInDoubt that Rutendo’s star will keep shining for a very long time to come.
